In the Stevens Pass area we have had 162" of snow fall in March. Anyone see anything big with this warm weather? Any explosives work producing large slabs?
Hey Gang, Wow my first blog posting. We Shot Rockface yesterday morning and pulled out between a 2' to 3' foot release. This is a permanently closed area so no skier compaction but we punish it on a regular basis.(Multiple trams, ski cutting etc.) So not very represenative of the backcountry. Something of note we finally got a little visability today and it did not go to ground. The fight goes on! Not sure yet what it failed on but it sure points to our Dec/Jan crusts. Hope to post our rescue training procedures in the next day or so. The sun is back out so off to try and finish the job. Cheers Chet Crystal
